The Nightmare of Amelia Brave

Alrighty, I decided that with the upcoming sequel, I would begin posting little "first glimpses" of the newest chapters! So I will post one a week or a few days before the actual full chapter itself is posted.

As for Fun Facts, there are a few tiny things that I normally like to put in the story. Like I'll use certain songs for scenes or I'll write something that sounds similar to a popular movie or book. Examples listed below under Fun Facts!

Sorry about the lateness on this sneak peek guys ^^; But it's here now! =D Sorry it's short but I can't give too much of the climax away ;) Also, if you read the sneak peek earlier then you'll notice this one is different. I had to change it because I edited that part of the chapter.

Ok, this is in the midst of Jack vs. Black Widow!

"What's the matter scaredy skeleton?" Black Widow taunted, looking all around, "Too afraid to take me on that you've reverted to using cheap copycat tricks?"

She immediately regreted her words as a barrage of fireballs rained down upon her. She held up her arms to block the one directly above her, and then quickly slashed them through the air. The movement caused a powerful blast which canceled out the attack.

"I spoke too soon. You're not holding back." she then smirked, "Good."

Black Widow lifted her arms and the shadows in the room lifted as well in response. Jack was revealed to be levitating in the air and she quickly sent the immense dark mass above her shooting toward him.

Jack crossed his arms in defense and the shadows moved around him as though some invisible sheild was protecting him. As the darkness cleared and returned to its original silhouette form, Black Widow took to the air and shot towards Jack, both of her arms blazing.

"DIE!"

I've decided to color-code the facts so you know which is from which story, plus this way you can know if there are any new facts, and there will be ;D

• Amelia's "rock-band" outfit for when she sang/played with the Black Vipers was originaly an avatar Kaitlyn made.
• In my original outline, Alucard gave Amelia a red oval pendant with a silver rose in the center instead of a silver rose bracelet.  
• Lori is a real-life person who I absolutely love to pieces. She's awesome and I wish I could say that she was my boss but alas I have no job XD 
• Amelia's nickname of "Ami" is actually pronounced as "Ahh-mee" not like the traditional "Amy." The main reason I created the nickname because Amelia's name was too long to fit in the "This is Halloween" parody that was later going to be in TNAB. But I later found out that, in French, ami means friend, and has the same pronunciation.
• La Petite Cafe's name is actually one that Kaitlyn gave me when I was trying to think of places and names that Amelia would work at. Just seems that Clarie beat Amelia to the punch on this one!
• Many of Jack and Amelia's arguments are inspired by my favorite book series: Skulduggery Pleasant 
• Claire is based off my own friends who pester me about my love-life, plus her mischevious personality reflects my readers thoughts XD
• Jack and Amelia's piano duet was inspired by Tim Burton's Corpse Bride.
• The song that Amelia's music box plays is actually the This is Halloween music box song which is heard on Panic! At the Disco's version of This is Halloween.
• Amelia's hometown of Samhain (pronounced Sow-en) is actually the name of the Celtic holiday in which Halloween originated from.
• Her pendant and the box that Alucard was sealed in are real objects. Check out the gallery to see pictures of them!
• The name "Amelia" is actually the name of the character that I played in my 7th grade play, though she was a pilot not a sorceress XD But the name has always been close to my heart for some strange reason and I would totally love to have it as my own name. In fact, a few people have called me Amelia by mistake lol!
• The French town that Alucard claims to be from, La Ville des Mensonges, is actually translated to mean "The City of Lies"
• Amelia is an only child as am I.
• Alucard was actually created by my best friend Kim, she just let me use him for the story.
• Elizabeth is my middle name so that's how the character Elizabeth got her name.
• I'm a huge Edgar Allen Poe fan so thus one of the chapters in NOHE featured many quotes from his epic poem "The Raven" and Jack is often seen reading his complete works ;D
• Jack DOES in fact sing Hushabye Mountain which you can listen to here.
• The word Armonia is actually Itallain for "Harmony".
• Amelia's past "unrequited love" is based on a true story.
• When Alucard spells his name in fire and re-arranges it, that was a trick I borrowed from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
• Blooper: I forgot that the Masquerade was supposed to have masks *slaps forehead*
